SMG Public Web Site

The School of Management’s Internet site is available at http://management.bu.edu. It is a public web site that features:

• General SMG background
• Undergraduate, graduate, and executive program details
• Feld Career Center services
• Admissions forms and contact information
• Prospective students, alumni, recruiters and news media information
• Academics and faculty information – including department contacts, faculty profiles, publication lists, and research centers

This Web site is maintained by the Department of Marketing in the Office of the Dean. Please contact Jacki DeAngelo at jdeang@bu.edu with questions regarding the site.

Each SMG faculty member has a faculty profile on this site that describes their coursework and research. These profiles are maintained by ITS and instructions for editing them follow in the FAQ.

Faculty Profiles

How do I update my faculty profile?
Log into SMGnet and follow the 'Personal Information' and 'Public Information' links to edit and add information to your profile/listing. Faculty are able to edit information that appears on SMG's faculty publications web pages.

My name on my faculty profile needs to be changed, or I need an account created because my name doesn't show up at all. What do I do?
Contact Jacki DeAngelo (jdeang@bu.edu) in the Dean's Office. Faculty/Staff names are kept in a special database that is maintained by the Office of the Dean. All changes of this nature must be done by the Dean's Office.

How do I change my old picture?
There are a few options. First, if you have recently had your picture taken by the SMG Publications department, please contact the Web Manager and indicate that you want your new picture uploaded. ITS Web will contact Publications, scan, and upload your image.

Second, if you have a picture of your own, either in hard copy or electronic format and wish that picture to be uploaded, send the photo to the Web Manager.

Third and final option, you can schedule an appointment with SMG Publications to have your picture taken (digitally) and then uploaded.

To edit pages on management.bu, you need Contribute software and a Contribute key that will allow you to access your department's pages. Contact Jacki DeAngelo for more information.

Contribute training is available through http://www.bu.edu/webcentral/learning/.
